Responsibilities and Qualifications: We are looking for a highly motivated programmer interested in working in a fun, casual environment. Self-directed candidate with strong work ethic will have freedom to work with real people solving real problems. The application is a web based administration system for parks and recreation (shopping cart, plus accounting, league scheduling, maintenance and membership management.) The system is reasonably complex with over 800 data tables, 900 jsp pages, 900 reports and several Flash applications. All administration is through a browser interface while transactions are processed through both web and Flash application interfaces. The company has been in existence for 30 years, but was recently purchased by St. Andrew’s Parks and Playground and is in a new growth phase. We have recently won bids from the three top competitors in the market!
Skills Needed: 5+ years of experience with Java/JSP, Apache/Tomcat and SQL. Knowledge of NetBeans, Flash/Actionscript, Velocity, JasperReports, Linux, Android and iOS helpful. The successful candidate will be immediately productive adding functionality and fixing bugs and working with customers to understand their needs and to provide support for the existing system as well as working with mobile applications (both Apple and Android.)
Hours: Full time position which will include long hours & some weekend work.
Salary and Benefits: $60,000 – $70,000 annually with full benefits package.
