St. Andrew’s Parks and Playground hosts an Adult Co-ed slow-pitch Softball League beginning Sept. 20, 2011. Games will be played on Tuesday nights beginning Sept. 20 at Ashley River Baptist Church. Game times will be between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. (subject to variation).
REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS SEPT. 7
Cost per team is $450 plus a $23 ASA affiliation fee. The league will provide two umpires per game, field set-up/maintenance, game balls, a Field Supervisor and a scorekeeper for all games. Teams are expected to be guaranteed at least 8 games per team (subject to change). Teams may have up to 20 players on the roster. Line ups on the field will consist of 5 players of each gender at all times. The league features a continuous batting order (all players present for the game hit in turn, not just those playing in the field).
We are currently accepting registrations for full teams, groups of players who would like to play together and be assigned to a team, as well as individuals who are not part of a team/group but would like to be assigned to a team out of the player pool. Each team will require a Captain to serve as the primary contact and submit rosters/waivers to the League Administrator when requested and also provide the scorekeeper the team’s batting order prior to each game. A Captain’s meeting to go over other rules specific to the St. Andrew’s co-ed league will be held September 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Andrew’s Parks administration building, 1095 Playground Rd; the team Captain and one other player from each team are required to attend the meeting.
